Title:              Part-Time Communications Intern (Contract-Remote) 

Reports to:   Executive Director

Status:          Contract, Part-Time (Full-Time may become available in the future)

Location:      Remote

Want to get some hands-on communications experience while you work toward your degree?

Join our Code Savvy community as a contract communications intern in 2023!

 

Responsibilities

Write blog posts, coordinate a bi-weekly newsletter, create social media posts, and assist in managing a content calendar throughout the year. This position will also be involved in the development of content related to our fundraising campaigns and special events.

 

Qualifications

  • A passion for computer science, technology, and education.

  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills.

  • Comfort being a 1099 contractor - this is NOT an employee position. 

  • A willingness to learn through hands-on execution of content creation and management.

  • Jira

  • Slack

  • DonorView ... Any experience with these tools is a huge +!

 

NOTE: Priority will be given to candidates that have experience participating in our Code Savvy and Technovation[MN] programs.

Code Savvy is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization working to interrupt and counteract existing gender, racial, and economic gaps in computing by equipping youth and educators with the knowledge, skills, and support to create with technology. We do this work through a number of programs that all provide access to computer science education for students of all ages, both in-school, and out-of-school, as well as programs for educators which provide coaching services and professional development opportunities.
