
Innovate for Good Hackathon
Join us for Code Savvy’s Innovate for Good Hackathon, an exciting, hands-on hackathon designed to ignite creativity and empower students to make a difference! This free, day-long event invites students ages 8-18 years of age from across Minnesota to dive into coding, design thinking, and physical computing with the micro:bit. Whether you’re brand new to computer science or already curious about tech, this hackathon will offer a unique opportunity to explore programming, create solutions for real-world issues, and connect with industry mentors.
Event Details
Participants: Students ages 8-18
Experience: No prior CS experience needed
Date: Saturday, June 21st 2025
Time: 9am – 3pm
Location: Twin Cities Location (TBD)


Hackathon Includes
- Hands-On Coding: Program your very own micro:bit to address a real-world challenge facing your community.
- Design for Impact: Work in teams to develop a solution inspired by the Global Goals.
- Mentorship and Support: Learn from tech professionals and mentors who’ll guide you along the way.
- Competition and Prizes: Showcase your project in front of judges, with prizes awarded to top teams.
- Free micro:bit and Swag: Each student will receive a free micro:bit as well as additional Code Savvy swag.
- Travel Support: We will provide travel stipends as needed.
