Code Savvy is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization working to interrupt and counteract existing gender, racial, and economic gaps in computing by equipping youth and educators with the knowledge, skills, and support to create with technology. We do this work through a number of programs that all provide access to computer science education for students of all ages, both in-school and out of school, as well as programs for educators which provide coaching services and professional development opportunities.
Position Summary:
The ideal candidate has had success navigating the grant application process for nonprofits in the past and is passionate about computer science, inclusion, and community building. We are always looking for opportunities to collaborate with schools and other organizations, so experience managing that communications process is highly beneficial.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Managing a grants calendar and keeping up with both applications and reporting as they come due.

Working with the Program Directors and Executive Director in order to craft applications and outcome reports.

Researching and vetting grant opportunities to present to the Executive Director for a decision on whether or not they're a good fit and should move forward with applying.

Writing and submitting grant applications and any associated reporting on a timely basis.
Experience & Qualifications:
As our ideal contractor, you have experience researching, writing, and applying for grants. You are comfortable reaching out to foundations and grant managers to discuss their processes and to see if our programs are a good fit for their vision, and being coordinated, organized, and having excellent communication skills are a must!
