Coaching for Equity in Computer Science is Underway
Updated: Nov 12, 2022

Coaching for Equity in Computer Science is a new initiative focused on the impact of coaching on teachers of computer science. Thanks to funding from the National Science Foundation, Code Savvy has partnered with the National Center for Computer Science Education (housed at The College of St. Scholastica in Duluth) to develop and deliver research and professional development for teacher coaches.
Those coaches will then work with computer science teachers to improve equity throughout their computer science curriculum and classrooms. This is a 3 year project that will allow for two different cohorts of teachers to receive coaching.
This project is a natural fit for us at Code Savvy as we are passionate about coaching as a method of supporting equity-centered computer science education!
