PROGRAM SPOTLIGHT

Minneapolis, MNTechnovation Girls Minnesota, a flagship program of Code Savvy and part of the global Technovation initiative, proudly announces the successful completion of its 12 week innovation and entrepreneurship program. This year, Code Savvy empowered 88 girls across 32 teams, with support from 33 dedicated mentors, marking our 11th year of impact. These talented young changemakers from communities across Minnesota designed and developed mobile and web applications that address real-world challenges in their local communities.

Virtual Live Pitch and Awards Ceremony Details:

Virtual Live Pitch: May 17th, 2025, 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM (online) 

Awards Ceremony: May 18th, 2025, 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM at Hyland Hills Ski Chalet, Bloomington, MN

These bright, young technologists are set to showcase their groundbreaking projects in a virtual live pitch event to a distinguished panel of judges on May 17th. Following this, an awards ceremony will be held on May 18th at the scenic Hyland Hills Ski Chalet in Bloomington, where these young innovators will be recognized for their hard work and creativity.

Special Preview Event with US Bank:

In a special preview, 10 select teams will present their projects to technology executives of US Bank on the afternoon of May 8th, 2025, at their Hopkins Center. This unique opportunity allows participants to refine their presentations and receive invaluable feedback from top industry leaders, preparing them for the main event.

Empowering Future Leaders:

Technovation Girls Minnesota empowers young women to explore and develop their skills in technology, fostering a new generation of innovators and problem solvers. This program not only provides a platform for these young women to develop practical solutions to community problems but also boosts their confidence and positions them as leaders in technology.

Code Savvy is a Minnesota-based nonprofit dedicated to interrupting and counteracting existing gender, racial, and socioeconomic gaps in computing by equipping youth and educators with the knowledge, skills, and support to create with technology.
